(Not that you’re an idiot, of course…)

Get a Template Site

When you’re interested in just putting up a site as quickly as possible and you don’t mind using someone else’s idea, you might want to find a temple site that already has the site waiting for you. Seriously, it’s like a coloring book. All you need to do is to fill in the blanks. You can choose from hundreds of templates in some cases, helping you find the design that matches the site you want to build and the business you want to run. The more you tinker with the site, the better it will look – and if you ever do get around to learning HTML, you’ll be able to plug in those codes too.

Find a Web Designer

Or you might just want to use a web design professional who already knows how to make a site and how to make it look pretty. Though it might seem like you are building a pretty good site, if you actually want to make money from your efforts, you will want to pay someone to figure out how to make things look a little nicer. All you need to do is to tell them what you want, then they will make something that’s probably much better than what you had in your head. Oh, and then you have to pay them. They’re not cheap, but that will allow you to know that your site actually works the way you want it to. And sometimes paying for someone else’s intelligence is a good thing.

Change Things Up

When you’re building a website, you don’t want to spend a lot of time at first when you build the site. The real time you want to spend on the site will come later, when you actually know something about web design. Read some books, take a class, and just tinker with your website. If you’re really interested in looking at the innards of a website, get a free blog and look at the HTML pages that are there. You will find a lot of weird lettering and when you change it, the site changes. That’s the best way to learn how to create a site – by doing it in a hands-on way.

Or you might just want to look at other people’s sites. That’s so much easier and you don’t have to lift more than just one finger.
